It’s already February and this is only my second post of the year. I really need to start updating you guys with more work. Luckily for you, I have been working on some things that I’ll likely finish by the end of March (provided that the weather here in Florida reaches some stability and provides me with nice enough weather so that none of my models nor I catch a cold.)
Anyway, I had the opportunity to do this very, very impromptu shoot with two of my friends – whom also happen to be sisters – this past January. The theme? Two wild things reuniting after having been taken apart by the cruel world. One of them was brought from the ground up, within the earth and all terrestrial creatures. On the other hand, the other had been captured and taken to live with the birds in the most colorful and highest parts of the forest.
I honestly came up with that two minutes before picking them up to have the ‘shoot. Truth is, we wanted to do something different but the weather wasn’t cooperating.
In all honesty, I feel like these pictures (whether they could have definitely been better) came up better than expected. The sun was setting and we found a great little spot where the sun peeked through the woods quite beautifully. Now, I wish I had a bit more time to set everything, because sometimes the light would hit just right so it wouldn’t be too bright (we only had 20 mins to shoot – I know, crazy planning). But I feel quite accomplished given the fact that I learned how to do a trick or two on photoshop.
Also, please, I’m not a make-up artist. I definitely need to learn more about how to apply decent make up on people, but hey, that’ll all come in good time.
Anyway, hope you enjoy.
